Disaster Oatmeal. Training Philosophy.

I made oatmeal today and added a bunch of stuff to it. It was Disaster Oatmeal.

Yes, I am actually eating it right now. It is edible; it just tastes not that good.

This is what made it a disaster:

1) Cooking oatmeal with plain water and a bit of green tea that was left over in the pan.
2) Adding too much cinnamon.
3) Adding too much nutmeg. TOO MUCH! WAY TOO MUCH!
4) Making the poor decision of throwing in chocolate whey protein. It did not mix well with the splash of citrusy juice.

This is a recipe for oatmeal that you should not make. Take my word...you will not want to eat it.

I like a lot of the points this swimming coach makes. It just seems that this stuff he writes encompasses everything. Maybe we all could develop a similar attitude about our training.

Remember: a LITTLE nutmeg goes a LONG way. Pretty much the same with cinnamon.

I tried throwing in some whey protein powder in some "power cookies" I made once. Bad idea, and it seemed like such a good one, in theory.
