Cold Runs, Trans 333

Cold runs today.

First run 10 miles at around 11:00 am. Pace was 8:30+ first half, about 7:45 the second. Temperature was 12, windchill 2. Hands got cold, even though I had on gloves, socks over those, and tucked my hands into my jacket.

One thing that can't be more important on a cold run are clothes that wick away sweat. I don't have any outer layers that do this, so the sweat sort of got all up in the material of the gloves and lower arms and made those parts cold.

An easy run at 5:00 pm. 4 miles. 18 degrees, little wind. Took it slow. Very nice and relaxing.

I agree. I have an under armour coldgear top that works great as an underlayer, but then what to wear over that?

The trans 333. Wow, I'd never heard of it. Now I have.

You are definitely crankin' up those miles. I hope they are feeling good. How did the shake-out 4 go? Feel good?

12 degrees is cold. I don't want to think about that. I'm glad it's not that cold here. You are strong.

Trans 333. That's a lot of alone time.

Dude! That's feckin' awesome! I'm greatly inspired. I'm even changing the name of my blog.

I liked the blue tape? on his shoes.
And that was the biggest blood blister I've ever seen.

You are the man running in cold weather. I've noticed that even though the weather is perfect here, it's easy to get lazy. That will change tomorrow...
