So, I have this idea where I could just run every other day, but have those runs be of higher quality and of higher mileage. For instance, I would run 12 and then have a day off, then 15 and a day off, then 20+ and a day off. The 12 miler would be at a quick-ish pace, the 15 at a good pace, and the 20+ at a slow pace.
How do you think this plan would work?
When I find a place to swim and get a bike, I think this plan would be awesome...on the days that I would not run, I could get in swimming and biking...

I bought an iron gym, that thing that you can rig up in the doorway and do pullups on.
And it works wonderfully! Since I do not have access to a bar, getting the Iron Gym was probably the best idea I've had in a while!
Plus, it is portable. I can take it on vacation if I wanted to.

I prefer the "cross training" thing with biking days between running days. I think it helps stave off the injuries and makes for better quality runs. Just my personal preference...
Iron gym? We have a bar that just bolts into a door jamb. I think it's just called "pull up bar". Give us a picture of this iron gym!
